Banese

Banese is a multi-purpose, publicly traded, mixed-economy company, majority-controlled by the Government of the State of Sergipe. Headquartered in Aracaju (SE), Banese has a presence in all municipalities of Sergipe and also operates in other Northeastern states, such as Alagoas and Bahia.

Founded in 1961, Banese acts as a financial promoter of the socioeconomic development of Sergipe, supporting various sectors and encouraging the creation of new jobs, partnerships, and the personal and professional development of its employees.

With a service network present in all 75 municipalities of Sergipe, with 63 branches, including 53 physical units (11 in the capital and 42 in the interior), 7 service points and 442 self-service terminals (ATMs), Banese is an economic benchmark in generating value for customers, from retail operations with individuals to financing working capital for small and medium-sized enterprises.

We formed an economic conglomerate with Mulvi Instituição de Pagamento SA (MULVI). Also part of the group are Banese Corretora e Administradora de Seguros, Instituto Banese de Seguridade Social (Sergus), Loterias de Sergipe (Lotese), Caixa de Assistência dos Empregados do Banese (Casse), and Instituto Banese.

Over the decades, Banese’s inspiring story began to support other inspiring stories from Sergipe as well. Artists, athletes, sponsorship of literary works, sporting events, cultural festivals, and others were encouraged to strengthen the development of sectors such as education, health, culture, and the environment.

With the expansion of its business, the growth of its credit system, and the sustainable development of Sergipe, Banese reaffirms, more and more, its commitment to being a corporate citizen. For this reason, its history becomes closer to ours every day.
