How to transfer your salary?

You will need to have the following information on hand:

Name and CNPJ (Brazilian tax ID) of the paying source (employer);
Name of the bank where you receive your salary (payroll bank);
Type of account receivable.

There are some rules for requesting salary portability:

The destination account must be in the same name as the applicant;
It is not possible to transfer your account to a third-party account;
The payroll bank (where you receive your salary) has up to 10 business days to approve and process the portability request;
The first salary payment made by your employer after the portability request is processed by the institution holding your salary account will be automatically transferred to the account you indicated.

We also remind you that it is possible to request salary portability directly at the bank that holds your salary account, or at any Banese branch.

Salary portability is regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil and allows employees of private companies or public bodies to choose the bank through which they wish to receive their salaries, benefits, or similar payments. There are no costs for the customer making the change.
